JaXson is the brainchild of Wexford Singer/Songwriter, Luke Jackson.

Luke learned guitar when he was just 8 years old. He had always tried to play his sisters guitar and when is parents saw that the interest was there, they sent him to lessons, much to Luke's delight.

He joined a group class but learned a lot quicker than the class so he moved on to one on one lessons with local tattoo artist, Alan Kinsella. Luke flourished here and joined up the guitar he had learned with the voice that he always had since he was a boy and began practising almost every night.

Luke has been gigging since the ripe age of 15 when he started to play around County Wexford. He was sat in pub corners, belting out songs to the locals with a black acoustic guitar that had a microphone placed at the sound hole as the guitar didn't even have an input.

When he was 16, he joined the popular band, The Gallivants. Over the 4 years the band were together, they supported some successful Irish bands and gigged around the country. Luke gained massive experience with The Gallivants and it was over those 4 years that he really learned how to perform to an audience.

When the band split in late 2015, Luke took the whole of 2016 to work on his music. He wrote songs, and started to research as much as he could. This was when he figured out that he wanted to do this for the rest of his life. He recruited Alex O'Keeffe, Jack-Rufus Kelly and Anton Shovlin to play behind him and started working on demos with Dublin based producer Michael Gormley whilst studying Music in Ballyfermot College.

In January 2017, he released himself as JaXson and continued to share his music with as much people as he possibly could.

Lead Guitar

Alex O'Keeffe

Specialising in guitar, Alex is an insanely talented, multi-instrumentalist from Co. Wexford.

Alex met Luke through the thriving Wexford music scene.

Alex studies in BIMM Dublin and was Luke's first recruit after Luke spotted his spectacular guitar skills.

As good as he is, he continues to work constantly on his music.

Bass

Jack-Rufus Kelly

Jack is a bassist at heart, who puts passion into every performance.

Originally from London, Jack moved over to study in BIMM Dublin.

When Luke asked lead guitarist, Alex, to look for good bassists, Jack was the number one option and Luke was delighted to get him on board.

Jack always gives 110%, and is a mind blowing player!

Drums

Anton Shovlin

Originally from Donegal, Anton took after his father when he started to learn the drums. Anton went to study at BIMM Dublin to gain some serious skills and to perfect his craft.

When Luke was having trouble finding a drummer, after his previous drummer left, Luke discovered Anton through a friend who said he was "ridiculously good", and Anton took up the offer.
